Founding of Nabaltec GmbH
The company focused on the processing and refining of aluminum hydroxide, aluminum oxide and other mineral raw materials into high-quality special products.
1995 |
Spin-off from the VAW group and sale to the Amberger Kaolinwerke Holding GmbH (AKW)
1996 |
Takeover of Nabaltec GmbH by the families Heckmann and Witzany
2005 |
Construction of a pilot plant at the former production site of Süd-Chemie AG in Kelheim
Founding of Nashtec LP, USA, and participation with 51% in the joint venture company
2006 |
Start of production of APYRAL® 40CD at Nashtec in Corpus Christi, Texas, for the American market
Production sites for fine hydroxides in Germany and in the USA: Expansion of the capacities for halogen free, flame retardant fillers of the APYRAL® 40CD brand
Nabaltec was transformed into a joint stock company and has been listed since 24 November 2006 on the German Stock Exchange.

Founding of the sales company Nabaltec Asia Pacific K.K., based in Tokyo, Japan
2017 |
Relocation of the pilot plant from Kelheim to Schwandorf
Complete takeover of the US joint venture, Nashtec, and modification of the production facility

Founding of the sales and management company Nabaltec USA Corporation in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA
Founding of the manufacturing company Naprotec LLC in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
Founding of the sales and trading company Nabaltec (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd., based in Shanghai, China
